Austin Lane has invested into the development of mobile solutions since 1999. We constructed ALMobile through a foundation of excellence. The product is state-of-the-art (ie .NET, XML & SQL database) and operates on Microsoft Windows PCs and laptops as well as Palm Computing handhelds. The handheld product is designed to operate in an occasionally connected environment and can sync data to the central office via wireless, modem or cradle connections. More importantly, we adapt to your business environment with ease. To develop a similar solution would require at minimum 2 years of development. Not only the cost to consult & develop a solution should be considered, but also the cost of waiting 2 years. A newly designed & developed product requires alpha, beta & pilot testing prior to roll out which lead to solution revisions. If in-house development is being considered please be aware that this becomes an open-ended process with an inclusive cost to your company.
Interface
ALMobile is a secondary to a primary application. We connect to your primary system (i.e. accounting) with a complete bi-directional interface. During the installation, we define our SQL database automatically based on your configuration. This offers you a less intrusive installation by saving valuable time. The bi-directional interface brings active costing information into our system with just a click of the mouse. The detail information provided back to your primary system is easy to manage as well. Additionally, the interface maintenance is included in support. If your primary system provider changes their interface requirement for any reason Austin Lane makes the correction and we push out the update.

Scalable Application
ALMobile enables Austin Lane to offer multiple applications to our customers. Developed with the latest technology, Austin Lane's products can handle a large amount of transactions & provide central control of data to multiple applications. ALPay, part of the ALMobile suite of applications, is designed to track and report remote time entry. ALPay has additional add-on modules like Production Notes, Equipment Meter Reading & Equipment Checklist tracking. ALMobile has the ability to interface to multiple database sources. ALMobile can link to Excel spreadsheets to get budget information and SQL to get accounting information within the same program. Also, the application is designed to accommodate modifications. We can modify the application and still maintain the core application for support updates.
Network Scalable
ALMobile enables Austin Lane to manage & support multiple SQL databases for the enterprise environment. We offer fault tolerance & clustering of databases for companies with large amounts of electronic information.
Training
Due to the way the automatic configuration works during installation ALMobile requires minimal installation time. Within a couple of hours we have your data in our database. We spend 2 days training & assisting the home office with the application and then we train up to 10 field personnel in a 6-hour class setting. Once completed, you are ready to parallel your conventional method to ALMobile for 1 to 2 weeks.
Support
With support you get online, fax and phone call tracking & submission. Yearly enhancements are done to the product and are provided to customers on support. Additionally, Austin Lane is able to release fixes and push out the updates via the Internet to customers.
