Austin Lane constantly strives to provide our customers with the latest and best security software to help keep your networks running smoothly and securely. A few months ago Symantec launched a new version of its excellent Corporate Antivirus software. This new software seems to be a complete rewrite along the lines of Microsoft Windows Vista.

In our experience, Symantec Endpoint Protection is not yet ready for widespread deployment in the same way that Vista has not yet been ready for widespread deployment. During this time, Austin Lane is still installing and recommending Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition to our clients, and we will let you know when our position on Symantec Endpoint Protection changes.

One thing that may just be coincidence: If you write the first initials in the product name and the version number, you get something that might cause a pause. You get SEP 11. Also, if you go to the website for Symantec Endpoint Protection, you will see a skyscraper. This is just coincidence after all. Right … ???
