Texas Computer Recylcling Bill Awaiting Governor’s Approval
June 12th, 2007 by JeffIt seems that those of us in Texas are not as environmentally-unfriendly as some may have you think. The Texas House and Senate have both passed an identical version of a bill (HB 2174) that would require computer companies doing business in the state to provide free recycling services for those machines.
This is great news for consumers in Texas. It will allow you to recycle your old PCs when you buy replacements for them. With all the talk about Global Warming, it is good to see that the Texas Legislature and Dell and HP are making an effort to help keep the landfills from getting even more cluttered with what can become toxic waste from discarded PCs.
