Safari for Windows

June 12th, 2007 by Jeff

In an announcement at Apple’s World-Wide Developer’s Conference (WWDC), Apple has joined the browser competition with their release of Safari 3 for Windows. This release supports Windows XP and Windows Vista. One thing to note, this is only a beta version of the browser and is not yet ready for the public to use everyday.

One of the most exciting feature that is included in Safari 3 is its speed improvements over Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla’s Firefox. Apple claims that Safari 3 is able to process HTML and JavaScript, two of the most popular languages used on web-pages over twice as fast as Internet Explorer 7.
